Happy New Year! 2022!

Hard to believe it has been almost 10 years since I started this blog. While it seems myself and many others have moved on, I always enjoy checking upon the page to see if anyone has been posting any new works. To those of you still going, keep it up and keep the scene alive!

I have been playing NFS Heat recently as it was on Steam sale. It is incredible to see how far in-game car customization has come! If it were 7 years ago I would have been all over this 180SX model for the built in Sileighty conversion (with bricks!)

The End of the Line: Nismo S13 Silvia

I think my time in the GTA SA Modding community has come to a close. My free time is diminishing and my interest is waning. The community has shrunk since I've joined, many of the people I once knew have moved on, and I think it's my time too. I still have a large project folder of about 75 unfinished cars, and only time will tell what I will decide to do with them.

In my time as a modder, I had my share of successes and failures, like the Mugen NSX through which I became a JSW member and FOK, which was a flop on my part. However, from both of those experiences I have learned that groups and clans have their place in modding, but only if everyone is equal, accepted and motivated.

Anyways, it's been a great 3 years, and I've learned a lot, and even though GTA V for PC comes out tomorrow, I feel done, bored and retired from GTA.

I would like to thank the following people:
Marko - for being my closest friend in the GTA community and teaching me
Flash - for working me on many projects, teaching me and urging me to learn to scratch parts
GTR - for converting some of my stuff and teaching me to convert
gred - for inspiring me and always providing an example of quality with fewer polies
FR-Style - for giving me some helpful pointers early on
Keisuke - for providing me with example cars and his blog which started it all for me

URAS S15 Silvia

Hello guys, I haven't posted in awhile due lack of time and laziness. Anyways this car isn't exactly just-finished. It's been done since July 30th, but I never got around to writing this post. This S15 was done as collaboration with Marko. It started out as a standard Spec R from Juiced 2 originally by Matheus-340. We started work on it some time in early February of this year. All major bodywork was completed by 2/15/14. We forgot about it for awhile, then I finished it up in late July.

The aero is made by Marko, me with maybe some small fragments from Flash. The S15 originally had Uras Exsol rims, but upon further inspection, we realized there were many modeling errors, so I switched them for a pair of Work XT-7s from RS Workshop. Marko and I originally planned on using a high rise Voltex GT-style wing, but we decided against it in favor of a carbon fiber Uras drag wing from an R34. I also added Aerocatch hood pins, Dmax taillights and a vented hood that came of the Wise Square S15. The headlight bezels were painted black, and vented front fenders and blister rear fenders were added. I also added a shock tower tow hook, and some dual straight pipes I made awhile back.

In the interior, I added some Bride Gias III seats from Flash, and retextured and UV mapped the rear seats and door cards to match. However, Marko and I decided that standard Bride fabric was "too mainstream" so we switched it up bit and did rainbow bride. It's not for everyone, but it does add some contrast to the white exterior. In dash, The gauges were tilted, and a Nardi Classic wheel by ITz Simple was installed. Lastly, I added some Peace Tea in the cupholder.
