Panasport Racing G7-C5C

The Panasport Racing G7-C5C is a famous wheel from the the late '80s and early '90s.
I modeled the wheel in Autodesk Inventor, triangulated it in 3DS Max and textured it ZModeler.

Mickey Thompson Rader

These "Rader" wheels first appeared in the mid 1960's and were produced by Mickey Thompson, Rader and many other companies. Similar to the Cragar S/S, these wheels were used on show cars, drag cars, low riders and street cars. Raders came in many different variants, depending on the manufacturer and version. These are the Mickey Thompson brand early version, which had only rib. A later version had 3 ribs, and was made famous on the 1966 Batmobile.

SSR Professor SP1 [Download]

I decided to polish off my old SSR Professor SP1 wheels that I made like three years ago. I fixed some normals issues, and I used a better tire with my Proxes T1R textures and my new brake disk and wheel nut. If I remember correctly, the wheel contains parts by FR-Style and the center cap and texture is by CS' Custom. The model is old, so it is not entirely accurate, and I don't claim it to be. However, since people have asked for it, and I don't mind, here you go. Textures are included in the .z3d.

Brake Rotor and Axle Nut [Download]

I could not find any stock looking generic brake rotors that I liked, so I decided to make my own. None of them had a modeled backside, and many were just flat cylinders. You may have seen the axle nut used in other cars I have made; I think I made it for the BN Sports FD3S RX7, but I'm not certain. I made it a year or two ago but I fixed some normals errors with it. The axle nut is visible when wheels do not have a center cap. This is often the case with racing wheels such as Work's Meister series. I am providing it for download so your cars and wheels can look more complete. If you use it, please credit me.

I modeled the inside and backside of the rotor

The axle nut is exposed

Stack Cluster (Integrated Race Dash Display) - v2

The Stack "Integrated Race Dash Display", or "Stack Cluster" as many know it, is a famous gauge setup that has been used by Koenigsegg, Lotus, and even Abflug in their 90's Porsche demo car. I first modeled the Stack Cluster about 2.5 years ago. This time around I have made numerous improvements. You can view the original post here.

Chevy Magnum 500 SS Wheel

I modeled this wheel in an RC 2.2" size originally, but then I decided to finish it off as accurately as possible, and I decided to submit for an AP Art portfolio. I modeled it using Autodesk Inventor and then I rendered it using Mental Ray in Inventor.

Mugen M7 Road Wheel

NSX spec Mugen M7 Road Wheels

Original Mugen Ad
Mugen's M7 "Road Wheels" have remained a favorite of mine for a long time, due to their simplicity and elegance. In my recent efforts to redo some portions of my Mugen NSX, I decided to redo the M7's because my first attempt was one the first wheels I did entirely from scratch. It had normals errors, and the shape was off because I didn't use a good reference image. This time around, I modeled everything in 3D, including the logo, and I even recreated the special bolts used to hold the rim face to the lip and barrel. I also modeled the backside of the rim, which was a first for me. Total poly count for the rim face is about 7.7K tris, and with the lip, bolts, and a tire the total will be just shy of 30K tris.

Bosozoku Wheel: Advan A3C

I saw these wheels on Kyusha shoes, and they looked unique, and rather simple. I figured "why not?" and went for it. I modeled the face, lip, lip bolts and lugs like last time. The cap is all 3d, not textured. For the Advan lettering, I used a 3ds Max text spline.

Bosozoku Wheel: Bridgestone Sharak X-2X

I was talking with gred, and I was bored, so I ask him to name a rim. He sent me this picture of this unknown rim. I looked it up on KyushaShoes and it was Bridgestone Sharak X-2X and then I made it. I made the face, cap, lugs, lip, lip bolts and barrel all from scratch. I also created a new texture for the cap. It took me about 5 hours start to finish.

the Vette

The Vette

Here we go:

I tweaked the vertices on the front bumper for an hour, re-triangulated, chamfered and created the front license plate recess. Then my friend Marko helped with the rear hatch to speed things up. I also fixed many normals issues caused by no knifing vertices which did not understand in my noob days. The side vents were also updated, but the rear bumper looks like crap and is far from done or even being recognizable. I've been redoing the door jambs and the following shit was done:
two bolt 1980 spec taillights
corresponding taillight trim rings
front bumper grills and can turn signals
rubber lip
new running gear [more pics soon]

extended hoodline [post '72 don't have wiper cover]
FM3 interior
Modified foot wells
License plates [1980 NY]
fixed radiator position
New 350 engine [bye 9 mpg 454]
Fixed hood pivot point
new gas cap
New flag badges by Marko and me
calipers
brakes
rear traversal leaf irs
front dual wishbone
Reshaped tires
New Tire textures modified in Ps but from APEC's 427 Impala [don't think he made them though]

O.Z. Futuras

I needed some old school O.Z. Futuras, and then I found Filipovic's. However they had the newer style centercap like this. So I redid the centercap and made textures and Re UV mapped a tire with my T1R textures. No download after the BBS Fan incident. I'll stick to exclusive skype distribution.

Devil Japan Shadow Spokes

I'm continuing my series of redone wheels by MIMI. This time it's the now defunct Devil Japan's famous Shadow Spoke. These wheels are some of the most popular but also on of the most rare. The only thing left from MIMI are the spokes, but even those I redid, welded and fixed normals and mapping. I scratched the lip, barrel, center cap, center part of wheel and the lug bolts. As a bonus I did the 5H version. Thanks to Zasen for the idea.

BBS RS Fans [Download]

I made these BBS RS Wheel fans awhile ago while having a competition with Marko/Natsuki
They use Christopher Jason of SLRR's BBS RS, but can easily be adapted for any other capless BBS RS. CJ's BBS RS are not included, but you can use any BBS RS with a little modification. If you use these please credit me. A white and silver texture is included along with a black and gold one.
